The refugee centre local to the Bungay area is in need of various items; first aid kits, paracetamol, ibuprofen, calpol, antiseptic wipes, nappies, sanitary products, meat/tuna in tins, baby milk, rice, pasta, flour, cooking oil, batteries, blankets, sleeping bags, roll mats.
More than 2.5 million refugees have now crossed the Polish border. Supply is no longer meeting demand within Poland itself; prices have risen sharply, and they require vanloads of these resources from outside the country. Manpower is also a challenge there. A trip is planned 20-24 May, and the aim is to collect donations and contributions and fill a large sprinter van by then.
Can you help? If you’re able to donate any of the items above, there is a collection point in Bungay. It is: 5 Beccles Road, Bungay, NR35 1HS. Drop off point by the front door.
Alternatively, you can drop them off at the Waveney Centre (New Market, Beccles, NR34 9HE – down the alley to the left of Hughes Electrical) on Sunday mornings 9-11:30am.
Donations are required by 19 May, please.
