Catholic parishes throughout the diocese have been generous in their support of foodbanks over the last few years, and this parish has very much played its part in this vital work through donations of food to the Waveney Foodbank, our chosen local charity since 2012. Many factors are combining at present to increase demand locally, including the end of furloughing, changes in income support, and rising prices along with shortages. At the time of year when we often offer Harvest thanksgiving, please give what you can to the Waveney Foodbank. There is a particular need for baked beans, tinned tomatoes, small jars of coffee and small sponge puddings, but all donations will be gratefully received, and can be deposited in the designated box in the presbytery porch, and in the corridor at Jay’s Green. Many thanks for your support and concern.
