• Parish information page during the Covid-19 crisis

This is now the main information page about how you can watch or listen to Mass while public services are stopped, and what has been suggested for this parish. It is also the place to see information on coordinating parish efforts to help isolated or vulnerable people at this time (see below, after the prayers).

There will be regular updates, so please check from time to time.

• Masses: There are no Masses to be said publicly. There is a new guide (13 May) from the diocese to live-streamed Masses in the diocese.

There is also Mass streamed live daily on https://www.churchservices.tv/,
and on YouTube – just Google Catholic Mass Today/Daily TV, and Sunday Mass (Fr Denis McBride) from the Redemptorists (who publish our Sunday Plus) – https://www.rpbooks.co.uk/holy-mass-online

Radio Maria https://radiomariaengland.uk/

More information on which churches in the diocese are now streaming Mass can be found at: https://www.rcdea.org.uk/east-anglia-masses-to-be-live-streamed/

Radio Maria has daily broadcasts of the Rosary and Mass, and details are on their website of how to listen on DAB radio or smartphone app, or online.

Bishop’s Prayer for the end of Mass:

• Praying the Rosary:
Pope Francis has invited all Catholics to pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary every evening at 9pm. This is the text of his prayer to Our Lady during the current pandemic:
O Mary,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
