Pope Francis has asked us all to demonstrate solidarity with the refugees and exiles of the world. One way is through ‘Share the Journey’, a CAFOD initiative aiming to equal the number of miles round the circumference of the world – approximately 24,900.
There will be a Share the Journey walk on Sunday 24 June – the day of the Harleston late Mass (12.30pm) and barbecue. 10.30-11am meet at Jay’s Green for coffee
11am prayer and set off
12 noon return cold drinks
12.30 Mass followed by barbecue
Three walk lengths are available
Redenhall church and back – two miles
To the bypass and back – half a mile
To the end of Jay’s Green and back – one-fifth of a mile
Afterwards the length of individual walks will be recorded to send to CAFOD to add to the total. There will be an opportunity to sign cards calling on the Government to urge world leaders to respect and provide for the needs of refugees.
